Atom Chargers

The Lacombe Atom Chargers welcomes youth ages 8-10 interested in playing full tackle football.

Schedule

Practices will start the middle of August and run every Tuesday & Thursday at MEGlobal Athletic Park (Lacombe) from 6 - 7:30 pm. 

Games are on Saturdays and will involve some traveling. Atoms typically don't play more than an hour from Lacombe (Rocky Mountain House, Stettler, Red Deer, Ponoka, etc). 

Game Format

Atoms play on a half field, 1 hour games (two back to back with a quick snack break in between). Coaches are on-field for instruction and position guidance.

Season Fees

• $65 Football Alberta Membership (includes insurance), due upon registration

• $125 Equipment Fee, due before equipment handout

• $260 Registration Fee, due before first practice

• $200 Volunteer Deposit (refundable), due before first practice

Subsidies are available for qualifying families through KidSport and Jumpstart.

Equipment 

Equipment fees must be paid prior to receiving equipment. 

Each player is required to provide their own cleats and mouth guard. All other necessary equipment will be provided.

During the season, Team Managers and Coaches will communicate with their teams through a designated app, which will be provided at the start of season Parent Meeting.
